Description

This one-hour, virtual lecture is designed to improve physicians’ ability to identify burnout and physician distress and address the associated warning signs. Attendees will learn strategies to promote self-care, ensure wellness, and mitigate the risk of suicidal ideation.  This course satisfies the Utah Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing’s new requirement for physicians to complete suicide prevention training for licensure renewal.

Accreditation Statement:
The Missouri Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons (MAOPS) is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians.  MAOPS designates this program for a maximum of 1 AOA Category 1-A CME credits and will report CME and specialty credits commensurate with the extent of the physician’s participation.
The Missouri Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons (MAOPS) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
The Missouri Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons (MAOPS) designates this enduring activity for a maximum of 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Creditsä.  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Planning Disclosure:
None of the planners for this educational activity have a relevant financial relationship(s) to disclose with ineligible companies whose primary business is producing, marketing, selling, re-selling, or distributing healthcare products used by or on patients.

Grievance Policy
Grievances regarding program administration and reporting of American Osteopathic Association (AOA) CME credits will be handled on an individual basis.

  • Initially, all grievances should be in writing and specify the nature of the grievance.  Grievances should be directed to the Noorda-COM CME Director, who will then forward said grievance to the CME Committee. Grievances should be addressed to the Noorda-COM CME Director at rlbarker@noordacom.org.  All grievances will receive an initial response from Noorda within 30 days of receipt.  Noorda will resolve the grievance, if possible.
  • If the participant does not receive a satisfactory response from Noorda, they can then submit the grievance in writing to Noorda-COM’s accredited sponsor, the Missouri Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons (MAOPS). Grievances should be addressed to the MAOPS Executive Director at 1423 Randy Lane, Jefferson City, MO 65101. All grievances will receive a response from MAOPS in writing within 30 days of receipt. MAOPS will resolve the grievance, if possible.
  • If the participant does not receive a satisfactory response from MAOPS, they can then submit the grievance in writing to the Council on Continuing Medical Education of the AOA at 142 E Ontario St., Chicago, IL 60611.

The Office of CME must receive notice of cancellations 28-calendar days before the first day of the event to grant full refunds (minus a 3% service fee for credit card registrations). All cancellations received 27 to 7-days before the first day of the event are subject to a 15% service fee. All cancellations received 6 to 0-days before the event are subject to a 25% service fee. This protocol represents the standard refund policy of Noorda-COM’s Office of CME and applies unless otherwise stated for a transaction.
